One Great Hour of Sharing
One Great Hour of Sharing is an inter-denominational offering that supports relief efforts both locally and around the world. The collection day is Easter Sunday, and each denomination determines how it will spend its funds. For the Presbyterian Church, one third of the offering is used to fight hunger, one third is used for disaster relief, and one third is used for Self-Development of People, whose creative programs seek to eliminate the conditions that keep people in cycles of poverty and oppression.
