We are blessed with six staff members at Central who are responsible for the day to day operations of the Church. Rev Luke Maybry, our Pastor, and Peggy Blaine, our Administrative Assistant, are the only two full time positions on staff. Sheila Fetner and Tom Schmutzler lead our music ministry. Wray Moxley takes care of the grounds. Grant Applewhite takes care of the money, and Rebecca Treadaway is the head of our preschool.

revmaybry@bellsouth.netRev. Luke H. Maybry was installed as pastor at Central Steele Creek in March of 2008. Luke grew up in beautiful Campobello, South Carolina, a small town in the upstate. He graduated from Wofford College in May, 1998 and remains a proud Terrier fan.
Peggy Blaine
Administrative Assistant
cscpreschurch@bellsouth.netI am almost a native Charlottean, having lived here for many years (35+ years) and have been been Presbyterian since I married one back in 1980. My family consists of four children, 3 boys and a girl, one dog, and a husband. Most of our extended family on both sides live in Charlotte and surrounding areas, so we spend a lot of time with family, travel back and forth to colleges where our kids attend, and visit the beach whenever we can. I have been working at Central Steele Creek since January, 2006.
Sheila Fetner
Music Director
I am a graduate of East Carolina University with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance where I was a Graduate Teaching Fellow in the School of Music. I have taught choral music in the Charlotte Meckenburg Schools and the University of NC at Wilmington. My musical background includes private voice and piano teaching, directing musicals, performing in opera and concert performances, and adjudicating choral competitions. I have been the Director of Music at here since 1998.
Tom Schmutzler
Organist & Assistant Director of Music
I am a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J. and Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford. I have composed and published many church works for organ and/or choir as well as jazz and ensembles. I am also active as a jazz pianist and teacher. I have a cat, work part time at the Cajun Queen, and live in Cornelius, NC.
Grant Applewhite
Treasurer
I have been the treasurer at Central Steele Creek for one year. I am responsible for maintaining the budget, paying our expenses, caring for our financial resources. I have a beautiful wife, Cathy (who leads our Hand Bells), and two children.
Rebecca Treadaway
Director of the Preschool
cscpcpreschool@bellsouth.netI helped start the Preschool 25 years ago and have been here ever since. I love working with children, getting to know their parents, and telling them that Jesus loves them. I have two grown children of my own, a husband, and a grandchild on the way.
Wray Moxley
Custodian
custodiancscpc@bellsouth.netAs the church Custodian I am responsible for the appearance and physical operation of the church’s facilities. With the help of the Building & Grounds Committee, I keep the facility clean and insure that all the property and systems are in good order. I am single, have two children, three grandchildren and spend most of my free time involved with sound systems, music, and my Masonic Lodge.
